For the last several days, if I use my brower's (FF) back button, I get a "Page Expired" Message. It doesn't seem to have any relation to how long I had been viewing a page before hitting the back button.

When I am reading threads on one forum, I may read the thread and decide not to contribute and hit the back button to go to the next thread I want to read without exiting the forum. For some reason, it seems as tho' I've been timed out.

Do others have this issue ?

Not sure if this will help but you might want to click on the home button, or All Things Plants which is at the top and bottom of your page instead of the back button.

Yes, I have had that happen on occasion.

Vic, thanks, I do know that works, but it also takes you out of the forum where you are reading threads. Yes, it's only another click to get back into that forum, so it's not like I am locked out. It's just that, for me, something changed. That's why I asked.

Margaret, it's good to know that I am not the only one that has had this experience. Thank you.

Lyn

When I want to stay within the forum, I click on the forum instead of back button. You have the option to:

I gotten that when using "Back Arrow" for the last few months.

I think Dave put in some web security feature that causes it.

Sometimes I will "Back Arrow" twice, or hit "Try Again". Or maybe it was "Back Arrow" twice, followed by "Forward Arrow". I forget, but I think "Try Again" worked.

Invariably, if I follow a link away from where I'm reading, I use "CTRL + click" so the new link opens in another tab.

Like Vicki, I use "Return to the XYZ Forum" button when I;'m done reading a thread.

Yes, I know how to move around the issue, but I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem or it was my computer.

Thanks for the input.

I've noticed this in recent weeks also. Hitting the back arrow is a habit for me, so it will take some getting used to.

Maybe it's a site issue, or a browser issue, but since I am not the only one who has had this happen, maybe @Dave could take a look.

I hadn't been using the back arrow, but tried it a few times today and had the same experience. I think it may well have to do with the secure, "https" status of the site now.

I'm using the back arrow all the time and so far have not had problems. It is just taking me back to the Forum threads, not the main page.

I wonder if it makes a difference which browser you're using?

I believe I was using Google Chrome when it happened. If not, it was Firefox. I seldom use IE anymore.

I think some browsers do have trouble with the back arrow button and our secure website. I'm not sure how it can be fixed. It's something I will look into, though.

Web security is worth a little inconvenience. My 2 cents!

I was replying to a thread this morning and got the timed out white page again, very annoying to lose the post so you have to start over. Sighing!

The site is very slow for me some mornings and takes forever to load photos, I usually give up after awhile and close it until later. Sighing!

That's really strange because the site has been super responsive for me for a long long time. It's been forever since I've seen a slow page load on ATP and I've never dealt with a complete "white page."

Maybe I should try using Firefox for a while and see if maybe it's the browser that is causing this for you (I see you're using Firefox.)

For what it is worth, I've been dealing with the slow page load for a while, too. I am using FF.

I am still getting the "white page" a couple of times a week, too.

I don't think it's my internet connection because I don't seem to have that issue on other sites, even the secured sites.

I am glad you are checking it out, Dave. Thank You!

Smiles,
Lyn
