I am a new to gardening, one question on bell peppers do you put the same "cages" over them that you do tomatoes? I did last year and they were kind of small. This is the only question I can think of at the moment.

Welcome! Kris! I ususally don't cage my bell peppers, as they don't grow all that tall for me. I do cage the Pablano and some of the other chili's that grow much taller to keep them from falling over. Other's might do it differently.

No exactly: those things they they typically sell at big box stores are pretty useless for most tomato varieties, but they do work well for bell peppers and eggplants.

I agree with Farmerdill. I use those smaller round cages they sell for tomatoes for peppers. they are useless for tomato plants but a good size for pepper plants.

I agree those small cages work good for the peppers. I here they are being used for Pablano and Anaheim chili's. Like I said, I haven't used them on the Bells, but I'd guess they would take up less space that way. Maybe I'll give it a try next year.

I too agree, with farmerdill and Rita. I do use cages for tomato plants as well, but they are large and tall cages, as tall as 6'.
