When my Family moved into our house long ago our yard was nothing more than dirt and mud with a chain link fence. A pool and cement blocks were buried under the entire backyard and front and we had heavy clay. It was so bad our yards were completely dug up to put new soil down and grass.
All those years my parents tried gardening but most shrubs became overgrown and weeds were in every part of the front and back and the grass was brown and hardly grew.
I would say past 10 years I have been working hard to fix up the property and these are a few photos from Summer 2014 showing all the trees/shrubs/grass/ and flowers I had been planting or growing and making the place look alive. I'm the landscaper too. We had heavy rain before taking them so the grass is slightly taller than usual.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

Here's a few photos of this years garden. I got a very tall Sunflower out of a few, the front garden did great his year. The backyard is the same just better weeded and trimmed so didn't post any photos. Also photos of hybrid lily seedlings I bred, and a strange; but beautiful variegated tomato I got from seed from last years plants I grew.
Keith, any spring flowers in your garden yet? I know you are pretty far north so perhaps your spring is still a few weeks away.
