At this time of year we sometimes wonder what the bird's and and other wildlife will eat during the cold, bitter winter weather. While walking my property in crisp autumn air I discovered fruits, nuts and berries among nature's plentiful food supplies. The animals and birds I'm sure know how to use and store them better than me. Yet I continue to supply corn, grains and black oil sunflower seeds just to make sure they get enough.



I wanted to post the picture that I made the banner from, but never came up with a place in the data base since it contains acorns, oak leaves, crab apples and other assorted leaves. I never thought they would use this banner, but here it is to my surprise. The picture is posted below; and was from October 11, 2010.

Exceptional banner, Leon. Mother Nature does provide a bounty for birds and animals but I like to have shrubs and trees that help sustain them during the winter months.

Thanks ladies for your nice comments! It was something that I toyed with, and almost scrapped it because of bug bites, wrinkled leaves and other imperfections. But, that seems the way of mother nature, "what you see is what you get".
