I recently added 3 photos to the plant database with genus/species "Justicia brandegeeana var Yellow Queen". Now i am informed by @Danita that these photos are misidentified and should be "Pachystachys lutea" (Golden Shrimp plant). I don't know if this is one plant with two different genus/species identities or if they are 2 different genus/species. A quick look at the internet shows the same plant in both categories so this isn't helping me much.

Aren't there Plant Database moderators who can tell me how to proceed and/or to review the validity of making this change? Or do i make the change without review myself? or does someone else? Maybe Danita is that person but i have no way of knowing that. Maybe someone can clue me in on how i should proceed or if nothing is required of me or what? If there is an error, i certainly would like to correct it.

The two plants are of different genera and species. I would imagine that they are confused quite often because I do see some of the same Google images for both names. I don't know enough about either to identify your plant, but I'm certain that there are differences in the bloom, the bracts, the foliage, and the habit. If I had to take a guess, I'd say that @Danita is correct.

If you aren't convinced, you could post one of the photos (or all of them) in the Plant ID Forum. The people there are good at seeing minor differences that are significant in making identifications.

If you decide that your photos should be moved, you can propose the move yourself by enlarging each photo, scrolling down to the "Actions" box, and clicking on "Move this image to another plant." You can also ask one of the admins to move your images for you.

High Beverly. I think if you look at the Justicia you will see that the flowers drape downward and in the Pachystachys they are upright like yours . That being said you could get the attention of a moderator by putting an @ in front of their name. Try zuzu if you don't know any of them. She'll confirm or find out. You could also move them yourself and a moderator will either aprove the move or not. I see one other plant in there that looks like it is a match to yours and should also be moved if yours are. Thank you Zuzu, i think @Danita is also correct so i will move them. Also you and @HamiltonSquare posted at the same time and she has confirmed my observation that the Pachy bloom is upright while the J. brandegeeana drapes downward (although the photos are all over the place on the internet no surprise there). Thank you Leslieray your input is truly appreciated and was certainly helpful.

It is a beauty. I have 4 of them (there were 6 before the rainy season took some down). Oddly enough my red shrimp has some upright blossoms and some that drape down...still i am sure these are Justicia brandegeeana. I call them my hummingbird feeders because hummingbirds are always feeding from them year round. They also host a variety of butterflies, but the caterpillars eat the leaves and not the bracts unless they run out of leaves so it works out for both the hummer and the caterpillars.

There seems to always be confusion between certain plants. The confusion between the different Leonotis species is ridiculous. I'm always surprised at how many mislabeled plants I see at garden centers and even places like botanical gardens and university gardens. If the professionals can't even get it right then what hope does a regular gardener have.

I for one appreciated your notices and i think it is great that you can do this. I was so surprised because i thought that i knew this so it was a good wake-up call for me not to make assumptions and take more care with my postings. These kinds of errors can turn a well-intentioned database into nothing more than a photo gallery at best so i think you performed an excellent service.
