This beautiful big leaved plant followed me home from the grocery store.
Now, I would like to learn how to make it flower?

Hi Caroline, most details for care concern proper watering (not too much, not too little), proper fertilizing (I like regular liquid feeding a couple times a month with Miracle Grow), good drainage in a pot, and possible transplanting to a larger pot so the plant can expand.

Maybe these links about Spathiphyllum, Peace Lily will help.

I have had my Peace Lily for many years. It spends is winters indoors but most of the time out is in bright shade outside Zone 9a. It hasn't flowered often for me. But maybe it being outside, i just miss the bloom? As you can see, it's fairly large with lots of babies under the mother plant. And it is healthy and gets fertilizer 3 times a year. I'll take giant and healthy over flowers. But Ihope it flowers again some day and I see it.

Hi, I got my Peace Lily in late summer last year still with many flowers. The blooms continued and stayed until late winter... Then I repotted it at early spring and it seemed fine, but no new bloom... Only until now it shows only one bloom coming finally! Is this out of norm? Or it's normal as of in our zone 9b? (I keep it indoor all time)

Mine did flower--has had about 3 blooms this summer.
It is in a bright, but not direct sun, position indoors.

Seems normal for our area Fiat. Just continue to keep indoors near bright light and water often, it likes to be kept moist during our very hot and dry days.

@fiat, the reason for so many blooms when you first brought your Peace Lilies (Spathiphyllum) home may possibly be due to the grower/nursery feeding it heavily to produce many blooms for market. Mine are sporadic bloomers unless I fertilize them and I'm usually really bad about remembering to feed my plants but my 'Domino' recently had lots of blooms because I did fertilize it in May with a bloom booster (high middle number) plant food. I always use much, much less than the recommended amount on the label. These photos are from early June:

Those are gorgeous and a LOT of blooms, @Lin!! I am going to have to be more diligent with bloom fertilizer now that my Peace Lily is a permanent resident indo-ors.

Yay I just want to say my peace Lilly finally bloomed after 2 years!! Yay!! Hurray! I almost gave up. I got it when it was only in a tiny 2 inch diameter pot, now it's huge, 2.5feet diameter plant. Couldn't get it to bloom once I got it home. I would feed it a weak solution each week but the leaves kept burning. Now I have 4 blooms and looks like more to come!! nodding
