Its time to transplant the paddle plant. I removed the parent plant from the bunch of babies. It has a pot of its own now.

That plant has done so well for you Jo Ann. I have not had good luck with it.

Yes, it is such a beautiful plant.

Jo-Ann I brought that plant because of you. It lived through the winter but it looks pitiful lost most of its leaves but it is a live and it has a little baby. I know it suffered because I did not water it all winter and I had it in a sunny window but I do not water my cactus and succulents in the winter.

Sorry your Paddle plant is struggling. I am lucky with this one believe me.

Sounds like yours looks similar to mine, Cinta. I think I've grossly underwatered it to assuage fears about overwatering it. It got pretty cold in here at times too, around 50 some mornings.

If I understand the temp needs of the plant, they survive at 30 degrees lowest.

That's good to know, TY! I tried to make sure plants were dry during the coldest times as an added precaution since the temps in our house can fluctuate wildly during winter. It's hard to be a serial overwaterer in constant recovery! I've progressed to possibly erring too much on the side of caution with some things.

I have said I hate to water houseplants so mine were bone dry most of the winter is probably why it lost so many leaves. I keep all my sucs in the morning room which is very cool because of wall of windows but it is also the sunniest room in the house.

It will be 3 weeks before I plant my containers, meanwhile everyone is waiting to be filled with coleus and flowers.

I did the same thing yesterday & today my back is killing me but it will be so worth it. Good luck to you this season May the growing begin

Taping fingers while waiting to see both of your gardens take off growing.

I have all my tropical plants out but have not planted them all up yet. I hope to have them planted by the end of the week.

I picked up a few annual fillers at Lowes yesterday. I really am trying to do more perennials in the pots on the patio. It is getting hard dragging in all these tropical plants every year. My cannas are up and ready to grow so they should look good by the end of May.

How exciting that is Cinta. I look forward to photos when you are finished with your planting project.

I only brought a few indoors this year, hibiscus, abutilon, a geranium, adenium and aptinia. They will all be going outdoors this coming week. I did plant the caladium I dug up last fall, got them into a sheltered bed this afternoon. I hope they get bigger this year, last year they hardly did a think. I have to admit that I purchased the bag of bulbs from Walmart.

I bought a new container.






Its going to look great with Plectranthus and Caladium White Wing.

I think lots of dycondra spilling. There is a Monkshood behind it and some real tall lilies so when those plants are full the container wont look like its so huge.
