Lousy name, I know. If I keep after it, watering and feeding generously, it stays in bloom most of the time. A real Boron eater. If I wanted to make one of those azalea-loking plants, I bet this guy would turn into a mass of bloom with a hard pruning, but I have no intention of doing that. It's a good pod parent, I have a new tray of "single reds" coming along. I don't know the parentage of this plant, it has lots of branches without pruning.

Here's a more distant photo, the caudex is smallish, but the pot is tiny, I need to get a bigger pot, if I can find one. Clay pots this size weigh too much!...

Simply stunning!!!!
I hate losing plants....I know they are "just plants" but when you nurse them along and baby them and get them to grow, bloom, and be pretty and they die....it's like losing a friend..... Crying

Beautiful plant and what a nicely shaped Caudex it has. Love the single red.

I agree Melissa, yours is a beauty all right! You said, "A real Boron eater." Do you add more boron to your adeniums to keep them growing this way? (I read some about functions of boron in plants.)

Boron is for the blooms. If your buds develop with holes in them, and your blooms start looking like spaghetti, they need boron. It's a trace element that washes out of soil.

I might take some comparison photos, if the plants cooperate
