Anyone know of a reputable U.S supplier where I can get Pauline Violet ? Or, can we get bulbs from outside the U.S. without having to pay for a certificate? Would love to grow these late season for my daughters wedding. Thanks for your help!

May be tough to find a well known vendor offering them, most only offer Ranunculus in mixtures, and most I see offering individual colors, are only labeled by color and not the cultivar name. Have you grown Ranunculus before?

I did find one source offering them, a Dutch company that ships to the U.S. (most bulbs are raised in Holland for export).

Easy to Grow Bulbs offers purple. They have a good reputation, and send excellent looking bulbs. I did however receive some mislabeled bulbs (Achimines) from them last spring, and didn't bother contacting them, so I can't attest to their reliability or customer service in such matters.

I too received some mislabeled bulbs from them last year. I've ordered from them many times in the past and this was the first mix up. I did contact them and they sent replacements this spring. They do stand by their products and are very easy to work with, so order with confidence.

I bet it was a problem with their supplier last year. Hopefully they have it all worked out. Smiling

I think these are lovely flowers. Tried growing them in the past and they did nothing for me. Is there a secret to success to grow then? I think I got mine at Lowes or Wal Mart back then.
