Hmm...I've never seen that kind at a store yet. It's good eatin', that's for sure! Morels rarely ever show up in this part of Texas...it's probably been 5 years since the last time.

We have a ton of mushrooms growing everywhere right now. All different shapes and sizes. I would really like to learn what ones are edible. Have you gone on the group hunts to learn from, a book, or knowledge passed down from someone else?

I will try and get some pictures later.

Interesting avatar name you got there. You can find them growing anywhere that is moist and has lots of decaying organic matter. Rotting trees, fallen branches, and on the ground also usually in shaded areas.

I've asked for help in the past on forums from those who know about mushrooms. You might have to post really good photos to get an accurate ID, Audrey.
