I'm always up for asking a dumb question! What's the system for the order in which they appear if you search 'caladium'? It begins with the generic entry, but after that it seemed completely random with types, named cultivars and species names mixed together. I always think there is an underlying system, but I couldn't figure it out Smiling .

When you search a generic term like "Caladium" it gives you the results ordered by popularity. So the plants that have more images and comments will appear nearer to the top, while the plants that have fewer or no details will appear at the bottom.

If you're looking for a specific caladium, search for its cultivar name.

I knew there must be a system, but I couldn't recognize it! Thanks.

(But I don't much like it for an ordering system - too many pages to scroll through and no clue where a specific search might be in terms of popularity).

If you want to browse alphabetically, you can do that, too. There are numerous ways to do that but the easiest way is to go to one of the plants in question and click on the genus name and it'll show you all plants in that genus alphabetically.

I agree !! Thanks for asking that, Donald -- I've never been able to figure out the "system," either Smiling
