Hello again,

I need help identifying a "mystery rose" I got from Rogue Valley Roses. Can you help me? Thank you! :)

Chaucer's blooms are much bigger than the bloom on your rose.

Here's my guess, and it's prompted mainly by the fact that it came from Rogue Valley Roses. For years now, they've been offering Blessed Child as a free rose, and many of the mystery roses I've received from Rogue Valley also have turned out to be Blessed Child.

Right on the money, as usual. The only thing is, I didn't notice any fragrance, or minimal, and it's showing it has a "Strong, wild rose fragrance" (http://www.helpmefind.com/rose...). Could it be that you can only notice the fragrance when the bloom is young? It must be Blessed Child.

Fragrance is such a subjective thing, Matt. The degree of fragrance perceived usually differs from person to person. Fragrance is also affected by the time of day, the time of year, the age of the bloom, etc.

On the other hand, it might be a completely different rose. Big Grin
