I walked out today to check on my plants and one of my tree peonies was hiding a bloom. The first picture is from 2014 and shows the plant in the first spring in the ground. The second picture is spring 2 in the ground. What a difference a year makes.

Oh,wow! That is a huge difference! Does the second year flower look like the flower that it was advertised?

The second picture looks exactly as advertised. Bomb type bloom about 5 inches across, but the middle part of bomb is about 2.5 to 3 inches. Variety is Zi Yao Tai, or Purple Mansion.
