Hi everyone, Find one interesting and puzzling pot (7"x7"x5"). Could anyone id the type of this pot and suggest plants proper to grow in this pot? How do you use this pot? (mainly how to deal with or use the holes at sides)

That would be an orchid pot. Some plant orchids straight in them with moss or bark (or a mixture of both, generally messy), some use them as decorative pots for plants (including orchids) of which are planted in their own pots, respectively.

Thanks for the info, Planto. So what kind of orchid you or orchid growers would recommend to grow in this pot in Zone 9b area (in house)?

Different types of orchids like phalaenopsis, dendrobiums, oncidiums, paphiopedilums will grow in that container. Try to read more about the watering and lighting needs of each type, and use the correct media when you plant them in the container. I like these containers, lots of side holes for the roots to breathe.

I have lots of these "orchid" pots, but only use them for esthetic purposes, putting my mesh pots in them when the plants are in bloom and are brought into the house.

I've not had the pleasure of finding any of this type, but the unglazed clay pots I have with side slits on the sides near the bottom have proven to be great homes to many kinds of succulent plants. As I'm able, I've been moving most of my non-leafy tropicals that are small enough to them.

If I can find some with higher side holes like that, that could have wire attached for hanging, I would also put other entities in them, like holiday cacti & other dangling jungle epiphytes. This might not be such an appealing idea in a desert climate, but would help me to continue to recover from being a serial overwaterer (diagnosed when I was in OH, now in swampy south AL.)

You could hang these pots quite easily. There are plenty of slots/holes close enough to the rim to do so.
