Thread OP

My (hybrid?) rose plant is not blooming completely. The petals have a black edge and they feel a bit squishy. I pruned them in the in March. It used to bloom very well till 2013 but for 2 years now there seems to be an issue with the plant. I fertilized it and sprayed insect control but it had no effect. If you need pics please let me know.

Welcome! to the rose forum!
If you know the name of the rose and can post photos it would help!
Also, you might dig around the roots and see if your soil is saturated or if there is any other drainage issue.
Others will be more helpful, but photos would give the best clues.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
