I was gifted a small start of I. intermedia variegata, I've not grown Iris's before ( well, not counting the wild ones we have in the low part of our property.)
I checked the database but didn't find it.
I'd love some cultural hints. I'm in central florida, we can and do get freezes in the winter. Summer's can be quite hot/warm and often wet.

Thanks ahead for any help with this. The foliage is so pretty !

I. verigata is a species of intermediate size. I can't give Florida culture habits. It may have to be grown in a small greenhouse.

http://wiki.irises.org/bin/vie... here's a little info. Like Lucy, I have no idea how one would handle culture in your area, might be some tips here : http://eveysblissfulgarden.com... or, try to contact your local iris club, or, a general garden club, or ,perhaps your county has a Master Gardener Program, which could help...Good Luck.....Arlyn

Thank you ! I actually got some information from someone that grows this in Fl. Part Sun/Shade, well draining soil, she leaves most of her clump in the ground, but does pull some divisions for winter just in case.
