Do you have a progress shot? Looks like it's grown a lot since last years pics.

Actually I did take another pic. I brought it up on the porch so I could keep "Pollen watch " as there is another info. coming.

It didn't put out much in the way of new leaves over winter, but the older ones have gotten longer. Over winter in hangs from the center peak of the greenhouse. It's had some good spring rain on it outside now, and fertilized so I expect it to start in with another growth spurt. I hope I can get seeds !

Gosh that seems so slow compared to elephant ears and amorphophallus. But the plant is too I guess...

It really does look great, no chance I could keep one longing that nice around here.

Evan it has grown alot. And it just threw 2 new leaves. Hope if still fit's in the top of the eves of the greenhouse this coming winter !

Hey, ya gotta start somewhere ! And the inflorescence will get bigger as the plant grows. What light/fertilizer etc is it getting. How's the A. watermaliense doing ?

I've got them in bright shade, no direct sun with nighttime temps usually in the 50's. All I've been doing is misting them in the mornings with the occasional drink. No ferts yet. A. watermaliense, in the background, hasn't missed a beat. Do you think it might be time to up pot? Will they respond well to dilute seaweed/fish emulsion spray?

Evan tip them out of the pots and check the roots. Wouldn't bump them up till they fill the pots. Actually the A. gracile should be ready if I remember it had a pretty full pot of roots. That's probably why your getting the inflorescence. They don't like a whole lot of extra room in the pot. I've never used the dilute seaweed/fish emulsion spray, might try watering it in instead. Not sure how they would respond to that on the leaves.

What do you do for ferts mj?

I usually use Jack's 20/20/20 diluted half strength every couple of weeks. I've used the fish emulsion before but not in a while. I do add the Dyna Gro Pro-Tekt about 1 per month esp. with seedlings.
