Does anyone know of a source for potato seeds---NOT seed potatoes?
I have obtained seed potatoes of the Nicola here at a garden store.
Nicola and Rosamunda are low glycemic index potatoes.

Sorry, I don't. This year during our Piggy Seed Swap was the first I even heard of people planting potato seeds.

Caroline, do you want potato seeds for Nicola and Rosamunda, or just sort of "in general" ? I did a rather quick google search and it seems that Nicola doesn't reliable set seed.

I was thinking if a variety is only available outside of Canada-then seeds are easier.
We need phytosanitary certificates etc. for other plant material.
The Nicola tubers were available locally so I won't be looking for seeds for them.
But if there is a source for the Rosamunda, then I would look for them for another year.

Yes, I get what you're saying about the shipping, Caroline -- I've been looking for a source for "Limelight" beans for a while (which are supposed to be kind of a "lima bean for the north," although not really a lima -- and could only find a seed company in Canada that carried them but did not ship to the US I was starting to think I might need to have one of my Canadian gardening friends get some and send them to me (or maybe just drive to Canada, it's only a few hours to Sault Ste. Marie for us)... but did another search earlier this year and Fedco Seeds had them listed as being "back again." I hope you find the Rosamunda potatoes !

Yes, usually these new varieties make it into wider accessibility.
The Rosamunda was bred in Sweden so maybe I need to look further.
