I found this link on the Southern Peony blog. I find the information most helpful for those who want to cut peonies to store them for later use. If you have too many peonies blooming at the same time, you can use this to extend your enjoyment of peonies later provided that you have free refrigerator space. Here is the link to the article, Cutting and Storing Peony Flowers for Later Use by Don Hollingsworth, Maryville. Missouri

Thanks Karen. I would love to extend the life of some of my blooms and this sounds like the way to go. Thank You! Thank You!

I have seen peony flowers which have been treated with ? a silica substance? so the blossoms
last indefinitely. I bought a kit at Michaels Craft Store, but have not used it.
It is a Flower Preservative kit.
The flowers are usually left on the plant here, as I want to collect seeds.
