Well, they are all going: Peonies, huge Columbines, Cat Nip Mint, Daylilies....the Peonies might be saved according to the
man we hired to dig rock and dump dirt around the foundation so the basement of our rental house stays dry. While there
I did dig out 1 Daylily, 1 Cat Mint plant, a few Sedums and a Dwarf Korean Lilac Bush to plant here at our other house we
live in. Here is a picture of the front, all going away! A Tears.

Oh, my, I would be crying too. But you know? We do what we can. That you love those plants so much says that their brothers and sisters will happily grow for you elsewhere, where it's safer. Group hug

I would definitely save the peony. I have three rental properties and I know people think plants are not valuable but they add to the value of the property.

I had a drunk driver knock down a lilac bush on one of my property and the insurance company said it was valued at 600.00.

Apple tree was struck by lightening, took out the fence. The tree 500.00, fence 600.00, cut up and removal of the tree 200.00. The apple tree was almost as valuable as the fence. I say save the peony. They are valuable.

The landscaper said he believes he can save the Peonies and will replant the Day Lilies. Those giant size Columbines, likely
have seeds they been dropping for the past years and might reappear. Actually I told my husband that it will thin out my
heavily planted areas and have a cleaner slate for tenants...so far none of them really care about plants, so I am glad to
have brought some to my home, and I planted them all today.

I sure have some good news! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! The work was finished and the flowers I said farewell to are all still there, I did not see
it with my own eyes, but my husband went over there one day after work to check it out before we paid, and he assured me my plants
were just fine! Hope to get over there soon and see. Hilarious!

Glad it sounds like everything worked out. Old peonies are sturdy soldiers and columbine can be equally resilient.

When plants just have to go (they end up at my house) with the exception of mints and lambs ear, those days are gone, gone, gone!

I always call friends, neighbors, or post some sort of ad to Craigslist. Folks love a mature plant or cutting, they'll often come and dig their own if the price is "free".

I do too. Sticking tongue out
