My autumn sheltered workshop is so Zen. Collecting Eucomis seeds pod by pod. Then I start on my Knipophila. This is going to take a weekend.

If anyone is interested in seed from this beautiful plant let me know Smiling I love Autumn.

Hello sunlover,
I was not familiar with the plant, but I could not pull up "Knipophila", maybe it should not have the "K". Maybe Kniphofia?

i have a few Kniphofias already growing in my garden, but ... Hurray! looks like the Eucomis (aka Pineapple Lily) might like to live in my garden in Savannah, Georgia. Let me know when the seeds are ready; maybe we can trade.

Hi @seedfork , Larry you are correct. I spelled it wrong Smiling my eyes are strained from looking at all those seeds lol

I'd love to send you some seeds @greene and I'm sure they'd enjoy it in beautiful Savannah.

Beautiful! I just checked in to see what it was! I love learning of plants I am not aware of. Very nice!

Well this is the first year my Kniphofia has bloomed, and now I have the blooms fading. Do they come true from seed? I have never gathered seed from them.

Yeah I can send seeds overseas from Australia but not supposed to receive them. Australia has a long list of allowed plants and as a collector of rare succulents I see the high import fees for allowed seeds and plants as a big government cash grab.

If you want some Eucomis I can send for the cost of postage plus $1 for 10-20 seeds. That would make it about $4 in USD. Message me if you want to give it a try. If you have succulent seeds let me know.

Yes Knips are true to seed. At least mine have been. Smiling ETA @seedfork let the seeds mature on the plant.

Sunlover,
Thanks, I went out and looked at the seeds on my plants yesterday, they were small and green. So I will leave them till they turn brown?
