I recently purchased a bromeliad with one bloom, when that one died I got to new ones. One of those died and the and this morning I have a new one. I read that when the plant is done it will die unless it has pups. What do the pups look like and do I just replant them. Is there a picture of the pups and how to start them.

That is a pretty plant.
Yours may be a Tillandsia Cyanea or Pink Quill Bromeliad.
The pups look like smaller versions of the adult plant. Once the adult plant fades away you can separate the pups and pot them.

Oops, where are my manners. Yes,

I usually buy similar Bromeliads from the clearance rack when they are $1 to $3; nurse them along until the pups are ready, then share the plants at my local swap, keeping the largest one to make more pups.

The pups form at the base, in between the leaves. Mommy plant will stay on a little more, helping give energy to the pup, and eventually it will dry out. I usually wait for mommy plant to go on its own, it will be awhile, by then the pup is almost as big as mommy plant.
