When I purchased this aloe I thought it was just strange color because of to much sun. I have had it for a year and it is still growing new leaves the same color and now it is getting a pup and it is this strange orange,

Is this familiar to anyone?

Cinta, of all the aloes that I have grown and saw on ebay and elsewhere, you got me. Never seen one like it. Looks so pale that some would think as you did that it is temporary. If you get to re-potting it, same me one.

It looks like an 'Aloe Vera' to me, but I'm stumped considering you stated it's been like that for a year. I would imagine if it were related to sun or watering (they can turn brown when kept dry and/or more sun), it would have greened up during the Winter or early Spring. I'm definitely stumped. Confused

It's pretty though, you don't see a shade of orange like that every day. Lovey dubby

Thank you Stush, Planto for trying to I.D. When I purchased ..... would you believe in a drug store, Rolling on the floor laughing I thought I was rescuing a poor plant on its last leg. It was in one of those little tiny thumb size pots. It was a pale yellow but I just thought it was sick from being under the Fluorescent lights in the store.

I have grown it for two years and it has gotten this deeper orangy/pink color and now the baby is coming up the color of that light yellow of the original plant..

Cinta,
Lol. Sometimes drug stores and grocery stores have the darndest plants. It sounds like it's a lot better off today then it was when you purchased it. Lovey dubby Yellow? You have one interesting Aloe there. Hilarious!

It is a sickly muddy yellow. The mamma looks like a sickly muddy orange to me. Everytime I look at it I ask her if she is sick. Hilarious!
