After you harvest your crops do you add more soil or grass clippings to the pile while it is resting?? Do you keep it going year round. With fall crops when the warm weather ones are gone???

We do add new organic matter to any holes that open up from rotting wood. There was one place in particular where it really had collapsed down a lot and I filled that spot back up with several shovels of compost.

We definitely keep it going year round. Fall crops and winter vegetables are some of my favorite things to grow!

Do you use composted manure on it too??? That would make it richer and I bet it has great moisture in it too.

Yes, we sure do. We pile up manure from our dairy cows into a heap and let it age for at least a year before using it. Thumbs up
