I see everything but the date. Of course, I am practically blind so it may be right in front of my nose. Sighing!

I have been invited for a private guided tour of the Memphis Botanic Gardens on Friday, May 22. The Gardens director says they are even going to open up the orchid greenhouses for me and that I will see areas that are never open to the public. I might even talk the guide into selling me an orchid or two. Whistling I need to ask the director IF they sell any of their plants, those they have several of.

Not the best iPhone photos, but here is our exhibit. I think it turned out pretty well.

Congradulation Melissa! This was a stunning display and the paddle wheel was perfecto! You have the befores above, here are some general ones but not the AOS winners because I was getting to tired and had to go.

Thanks, y'all. Hubby took a bunch of photos and I will post some tomorrow if I'm not too tired. Everyone took home good ribbons! Our exhibit took 2nd. I have to say that it is very hard to beat Springfield (who took 1st). They have some of the most pristine and HUGE plants. Very impressive exhibit. I got to participate as a learner judge and I picked it to win as well.

I took four 1rst places, one 2nd place, and three 3rds. Hubby took two 2nds for the MBG.

None of my plants were mature enough to be considered for an AOS award, but many of them have potential.

I also won my first Best of Class! Dendrobium farmeri. I have no picture because the blooms faded so fast, but you might be able to see it in the exhibit. It is tucked back on the right side on a big driftwood mount. Here are some photos!

Vanda Motes Leprechaun 'Haiku Mint' awarded AM/AOS at the show 82 points. It was stunning and smelled like spicy cloves.
