I was very surprised today to see some small apricots forming on my trees. We had temps in the 20's while it was in bloom, and some still managed to survive. I don't think it will be a bumper crop but at least I should get a taste. I'm happy!

The apple trees sure have a bunch of blooms this year, so I should have some apples as well.

It is to get below freezing here on two seperate nights. I am worried about the blossoms on the fruit trees and my current bushes.

It's supposed to get down to 37 tonight, usually it's about 5 degrees colder here then in town, so I'm on the edge. My apples are just about finished blooming now.

What a beautiful bird! I have 4 apricot, 1 pear, 1 peach, 5 apple, 2 tart cherries, 1 sweet cherry and 2 plum trees. I lost a plumb last winter, and a peach the winter before that. The apricot trees have been sparse producers most years. Last year I didn't get anything on most of the trees as the severely cold winter and late frost took care of that. Do you get enough of a chill period for most fruit trees? Many of them need a dormant stage brought on by colder weather to be able to produce. It looks like I'll have a good crop of cherries too, as well as apples.
