The massive equipment amazed me, but I was even more shocked by the number of people involved, a lot of jobs for people in the bulb industry, I like that.

Since they are stripping the top soil each time they harvest, I wonder how they re-nourish the soil between crops.

From what I can see, almost all of the topsoil goes right back in the field. The bulbs are dug and washed and almost all the soil is removed from them and it appears that wet soil goes right out of the machine back onto the field.

What an interesting video. I watched it all of the way until the end, I had no idea that flower bulb extraction was such an involved process.
