My salavia bloomed and was really pretty for about 3 wks and now they have died. It looks like there are new buds forming that will bloom. Do I pinch back the dead top parts that already bloomed or just leave them? Do I cut the whole thing back? Will it bloom all summer or not? This is my first year for salvia, and I don't know much about them. I think it is "May Night".

I deadhead the blooms on my May Night and it blooms again that same year.

we shear back our "Hot Lips" once the first flush of flowers begin to slow down. always reblooms for us.

I love May Night and find it will bloom all season if you keep the spent blooms sheared off. Great plant with great color...and starts blooming early here which is another plus!

Mine is starting to bloom again!
