Coral Ardisia (Ardisia crenata) a/k/a "Coralberry"/"Coral Berry" is a beautiful plant but very invasive here in Florida.

Here in Kentucky too!
They do have a nice look, manageable size too but I curse the darn fool that brought them here!

Yeah, it's a pest plant here, shown as a Catagory I Invasive on the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council list and is legally prohibited.

I had no idea!
I'm surprised, I wonder what it's range is and how many acres it covers... I still like it way better than bush honey suckle.

It makes a really nice house plant and can always be pruned back if it gets too big. Years ago I grew Shoebutton Ardisia (Ardisia elliptica) as a house plant and loved it.

I guess I didn't paint a pretty picture, but I've spend plenty of time admiring these same plants.
They're plenty attractive, hardy as can be!
No reason to think it won't look nice for you.
I think I've heard of them used for bonsai, or atleast a bonsai companion.
I've seen them look good planted in gardens too.
I'm sure it'll make a fine plant for you.

The berries are quite unique! And the foliage is prettiest in spring when they emerge a very light green, tinged in red with some sun.

But for every minute I've spent admiring it, I've spent an hour fighting my way thru thick stands of it, they're pretty pokey when you have to just push your way thru and they intertwine branches... Good times

There is ALWAYS room for one more p
I had one a few years ago, and loved it. However, I couldn't keep it alive! I was so disappointed when it died, yet it's invasive in some places. How ironic!
