I had the opportunity today to take lots of pictures of roses which I will add to the data base later. One did not have a tag but I would guess that it is a David Austin Rose. Can anyone help with ID?

It doesn't ring any immediate bells for me, Paul. I have a lot of Austins that have occasional blooms of this color, but there's always more variation. It's rare to see three or four Austin blooms so close together that are so identical in color. It looks more like a Kordes shrub rose to me, but I couldn't say which one.

This is a wild guess but... to me, it looks like Kordes "Sweet Jane"

Not so wild, Margie. That was what I thought as soon as I saw it, and that's why I said it looks more like a Kordes shrub than an Austin. Sweet Jane has more variation, however. The center should be a darker color than the other petals.

I do not have a clue and have to rely on you. One thing that I have thought of is that these roses haven't had any direct sunshine. Could that be reflected in the color?

Yes, that could be reflected in the color, Paul, and it's a likely explanation.

So many of the roses you photographed that day were Austins, so maybe you were right and this one is also an Austin. I wonder whether this one might be Crown Princess Margareta?

Carding Mill is another possibility, although it usually has some pink in the blooms.
