When the wife/husbend or in my case 'staff' says no more plants and you wake up and find there is no more room for anything in the grow room/house even if you wanted it.

What do you do to keep your obsessive hobby in bounds and still find meaning and enjoyment out of it?.

do you volunteer at a greenhouse?

work for a plant shop?.

join a society? . hmmm the list goes on.

I'm not there yet but close.

You mean I must place boundaries on my tropical plant growing? Whistling Like having a large house, regardless of now many greenhouses one has, he/she finds a way to fill every nook and cranny. I wish I had built my two greenhouses twice their size, but saying that, I know they would still be filled to capacity. Sighing!

BTW my new Anomorphallus or voodoo Konjac is doing very nicely/ putting down roots and growing a nice fat shoot. I keep it well watered and fertilized.

I just got a reply from my email to the head staff about my Amorphallus bulbifer perchice. She isn't happy, but i'm sure she will get over it in time. I just have to realize no more plants means no more. i will store them at my job i said to her in reply so they don't crowd our basement which i don't know is heated in winter= then there's the added problem of it blooming.

Any babies/offsets I get I will give to lynne or to friends. thus keeping the voodoo lily population at 2. and trimming back the extra pots. I have/ they can be used to pot up the babies. The bulbifer I got will be a mature bulb so it will flower next year/ hopefully in lynnes upstairs attic/ I'll take it there in winter and back home after its done smelling/flowering. The konjac isn't mature so it will be a long time before its a problem.

Were making a new table for the plants I have already. the shell ginger is getting big so it will become a floor plant. along with my bird of paradise.
