I wanted to show you a picture I took today and was rather surprised
at seeing the lizard on the wrought iron bird feeder pole where the hummingbird feeder hangs..because my cat Leo/shown below in his photo this week/ loves to eat lizards and I have very few of them!

I know Greene will enjoy these photos and hope all of you do
and the flowers in bloom today!

I put the first ones of Mask of Eternity and a lizard on All things gardening but I have this one on the bird pole to add today!

The lizard was showing the money as we call it in the south ..the part under its neck that it blow s up when it tries to scare off predators
or humans like me that are near it..
I really did not know where to post this...so
going to use this forum..

Oh what a pretty kitty! I love cats. Yes, we call it 'showing his money' too. I have a cat that kills lizards so in the summer I usually have a lot of very short tailed lizards. Beautiful bloom!

Leo was a stray who ran up my steps out of the woods the week of thanksgiving
almost 5 years ago..I thought he was rabid the way he ran up to me
he just wanted a home and he sensed who to run to in order to have a good home
we had him neutered and shots and he has been a real boy cat and has a unique
personality...

I have 2 other cats that came up as kittens also from the woods
one of those ..their mother came looking for the kitten and I said to her
I am sorry but I have taken your child in to love..
which made me cry...

but I was not about to
let the kitten that was about 7 weeks old leave me..

I assume she was the mother but that kitten Peebo would never have had
enough to eat or a good home as she did not herself I am sure..
We have 3 cats...Here they are..thanks for writing..

I love cats..and you must be laughing now ..as I share these
pictures with you as a proud parent!

Wow what a display your Lizard is showing you captured some great shots there,..lovely pictures of your cats and nice stories about them,..that first picture shows a well fed cat and a beauty as well,..nice to see three cats feeding in their own dishes,..i have to use a huge tray for the bulk of mine then dishes ready for those who don't feel comfortable feeding together.

Some ribbon on that cat lol,..oh do your cats lose collars?.

It was christmas day and I tied the ribbon on Leo and I think he was looking out the window
for Santa...don't you?

I buy the break away collars for cats, longest as my cats necks are large
so that would be the 12 inch cat collars..if they fight a squirrel and lose
the collar I have been known to buy a NON break away collar and leave
three fingers space so that it is loose enough they could get their head
out if they got trapped under a bush or a limb..

So far that works, no hung cats, none dead and none choked to death!
LOL

Common sense says leave the collars 3 fingers loose if they are not breakaway
collars...so they can pull their heads out of them in an emergency..

I do have a product I buy and found it myself 3 years ago for flea prevention.
I wish the company would pay me but I never got one bottle free for
my reviews on amazon and all the people I tell in pet stores.

Pet guard wafers...
they are yeast and garlic which you can not smell nor the cats
you give one wafer broken up per 10lbs of dog or cat weight
each morning with a treat..
So my 24 pound cat he gets 2 and half wafers each am...
before breakfast..with a dry treat along side it on the floor.
Then if they eat it and they will, they get their regular breakfast.
you keep pointing to the wafers on the floor and say eat that
over and over..they learn they will eat it with a treat
and then they get canned or dry food next.

I have not had one flea on my yard and house cats in over 3 years!

I was sick of toxic flea drops and the cost too...
so I found this and it works...
no ticks either...for dogs or cats..

I think this is the best gift I can tell a pet owner...
that loves their dog or cat.

I have wild deer I feed and still my cats have no ticks nor fleas...

brewers yeast and garlic wafers..

I was making sure i wrote down the Four Paws,..Brewers Yeast and Garlic Wafers,..i will certainly try and get some as i spend a small fortune on Anti Flea and Tick drops,..treating 7 cats and a dog uses a lot of drops.

Ah so the ribbon on Leo was a Christmas ribbon,..now i know why he was looking out the window .

Great pictures of the Deer,..we don't have any wandering around over here unless you head up the mountains,..plus its very flat land around where i live,..your cat certainly makes good use of that comfortable swing chair,..they make one laugh where they decide to have a sleep
