I believe arabicum is just not a good rootstock for obesum. Arabicum mostly blooms in the spring and is so slow growing, going dormant, when obesum doesn't need to go dormant. Here's a plant I've had for three years. The top part of the stem is green and growing, but the bottom is brownish, not growing. Hey?

I have been totally unsuccessful at grafting so far, eight careful tries. Following directions to the utmost. Owell!

This plant is not worth the effort anyway!

Yes, Gigi, the flower is OK, but the whole deal is a dump. That is a three year old plant! Other three year old plants have a lot more stem, caudex, and many more flowers. No problem! If you lived here, I'd give it to you in a mnute!

This is a 1 1/2 year old seedling.

Wow what a difference! I better pay attention on what I'm buying then.
