Here is one of the larger projects that was recently built. The middle bed will have another Etoile Violette Clematis on the right edge to match the small one on the left edge of the bed. There will also be other things added, in addition to numerous things that have yet to sprout. The plant by the trellis in the left bed is a Chojnow Honeysuckle, the middle is Passiflora caerulea, and the right bed trellis is a (currently tiny) Utopia Clematis.
I wish I would’ve had time to take pics before bugs got to some of the plants...
For scale, the fence is about 54 feet long.
Do I see Amethyst Mist Heuchera and Cherry Tart Sedum in there? That heuchera is one I'm looking to get at some point. (And I didn't see much bug munching at all, just a teeny bit maybe.)
As far as the coral bells ID goes, the tag said that it's Palace Purple. Beyond that, I have no idea.
Just looking at Google, there are a ton of supposedly Palace Purple that have veining, so I don't know.
I did that too and it is amazing the variation in photos on that plant. Crazy!
Oh well the best and important thing is you enjoy the plant. Names give me a headache.
Great project you have.
Haha, I hear ya!
I've had coral bells totally change color one year to the next as they mature (totally green last year to deep purple now). Who knows?!
Thanks!
