Seeing tragedy in Texas and Oklahoma, and the terrible forest fires up north, makes me think that a light frost is not all that bad in comparison.

It is so sad what is happening around. It puts into perspective the damage a hard frost in the garden causes compared to people losing everything, some of them even their lives. Sad

My daughter lives in Houston. She was in Seattle visiting a friend and pulled into Houston at midnight on Monday just in time to see the flood news. She called to let me know she was alright although it took her all day to get home and she walked in water the last few blocks but the house she lives in is high and dry. They tend to build high she ways. The water runs like a river down the streets where she is. I don't listen to news so the world could be coming to and end and I wouldn't know it til it happened. But glad she is okay.
