We went hiking today at Del Valle Regional Park, in Livermore. Taking a chance of a break in the sudden heat wave we had yesterday. Thankful for the breezy conditions on and off, when we are nearer beach side of the trail. Love to see the lake, so refreshing to the eyes, as it gets rougher and drier heading up.

Really dry as we head up, thankfully the view below is worth it.

So funny we made a wrong turn, and our path was getting too dangerously narrow and steep ravine, thankfully we heard two bike riders above us and we realized we made a wrong turn, so we backtracked and found the safer path. Hilarious!

Heading back home as we leave Del Valle..the view is nice, albeit such a dry, dry landscape..drought making brown the new green indeed. Glad there are still some trees dotting some areas of the very dry slopes.

Pretty hike Tarev! My husband & I went for a hike around a local lake, last weekend, and somehow got off the trail - the hike was a little longer than we planned...

This past weekend, back to Land's end, with some friends, and shoreline walk near Ocean Beach and heading to Twin Peaks for a beautiful view, thankful there is no fog to obscure the view! woohoo! Took us an hour to exit San Francisco later, got to go around lots of road blocks due to ongoing Pride parade festivities.

Love how this flock of seagulls just settle in that warm part of the beach. Beachgoers oftentimes trudging on this flock to break them apart, but they just ease back and continue lounging under the sun Smiling

Watching our friends get all the way down there at Land's end, I am just half way up, saving my energy for later Big Grin

The view from Twin Peaks, the dense beauty of city living around San Francisco as seen from high above.

My sister had a business trip to SF one time and she won't go back. She said that the panhandlers are too aggressive. I have never been to SF myself, so I can't say, but I'm guessing she was in the wrong part of town. (She was with a group of about 6 women, not alone, and they were practically mugged by the panhandlers.)

Like any city here in the US, there are good and bad sides..just have to be aware of your surroundings. Same thing there in SoCal at the Santa Monica 3rd street area..touristy area but many panhandlers and homeless too, or in downtown LA. Personally I prefer going around downtown SF than downtown LA anytime.
