I have just harvested, and dried, six pods. If any of you would like some of these seed I will be happy to send them along. Put your names in this thread and tree mail me your mailing address. I will have enough seed for ten or twelve packets of about 30 seed each.
USA and Canada only for these.

Rhapsody, do you have a brug named.... Rhapsody? A hundred yrs ago, someone sent me a cutting of this name. It limped along, never bloomed, looked like a stalk with teeny leaves. I kind of forgot about it. After all the rain we've had, it has grown one branch off the main stalk. Not sure if it will bloom this year.

OK,the seed offer is now closed. The remaining seed are packaged to send to the BGI seed bank. There will probably be more seed in the fall but they will have only one parent named as they will be the natural crosses from moths and bees.

No I don't have her but have been looking for her. Maybe we could trade a cutting or two. Hope she blooms fro you this year.
On another list Dan introduced us to Grow More Fruit fuel 16-8-24. I got a bag and am amazed at how well it works for my plants. Big green leaves... tons of blooms. Here is what he wrote. Group hug

"The price is right, so, it won't hurt to give it a shot. I also would like to know the results from any of you that trust me enough to try it. Check it out (you have to order it on line), at......Plantsthatproduce.com It's the Grow More Fruit fuel 16-8-24. It's $10 plus shipping for a 5 pound bag, that last quite a while, depending on the number of brugs that you have. Also, most of my new seedlings bloomed/flushed @9-10 months from seed. Not too shabby"

@Rhapsody Below are two photos of Rhapsody. The first was taken May 6th when I discovered the pot behind some gingers. The second photo was taken this evening. You can see how much it has grown in two months. I have to attribute the growth to all the rain we've had.

It was getting dark and the mosquitoes were trying to carry me away, so I came inside. I did look at the leaves and couldn't determine that any were sub equal yet.

I will bump up it up to a bigger pot, feed it, and see what happens.
