I walked the garden today trying to figure out where I am going to plant all the "poor orphan rhizomes" that are scheduled to arrive in the next few weeks. There is only one solution short of tilling up the rest of the yard. I need to re-home some stuff!!! So the collection needs to be thinned.

The following- mostly older varieties - are up for sale (cheap), trade, postage or adoption. Tree mail me if you see something of interest.

Pam, are you still looking for a trade? Just a glance at your list brought Jurassic Park and Mountain Melody to my attention. I moved MM to Idaho but she died an ignominious death molding in my basement before I could plant her at my new house. Sighing! I would probably be interested in a couple more, if you are still thinning, My plant list is on the forum.

Hi Cleta!

Yes, I am very much still thinning all these. They are large patches and in some cases double patches. Have lots of both JP and MM. Those two especially grow like weeds here. Checking your list, I would enjoy adding Florentine Silk or Colortart if you have extra.

Send me a tree mail list adn I will swap addys with you.

Pam,
I'd love to get a 'Babbling Brook' to see if it matches a NOID I have already.. 'Jurassic Park' is one I've always felt I should have, but never got around to it.. 'Master Touch' looks like a possibility for another NOID I have. I have a weakness for yellow Iris w/ blue beards, and the horns on 'Triple Whammy' sweeten the deal.. I'm stopping there.
Since you're thinning the herd, you may not be interested in trading, and I'm happy to send postage.. but I wanted to offer that to you "in case"... Have a look at my "holdings".... Some of the newer ones I might have a rhizome I can peel off.. Generally the ones I got in 2013 and before, have enough (with exceptions for the wimpy growers).

I'm also collecting seed from Nigella hispanica, Freesia laxa, tall pink opium poppies, and a bunch of other things that self sow around here with pretty flowers... I won't know for sure until I actually harvest, what I've got (beyond those few).

Sherry, Don't stop - I need to move some stuff! Smiling

I will be happy to do a trade - a true irisaholic here. Looking over your list - you have quite a respectable collection for only being at it for a couple of years - I would be interested in trading for any of the following that you might have extras of.
Bewilderbeast, Bubble Bubble, Conjuration, Hello Darkness, Dracula's Kiss or Kathy Chilton. I have a tendency toward the darker colors.

Were you looking for Pagan Dance? I have plenty of that too.

Just send me your address!

Kathy Chilton is the only one I know I don't have enough of Pam. I'll need to compile a list in the next few days of everything I'm going to dig.. but I'm pretty sure I've got enough of the others but will need to double check.
I've been at it for more than a couple of years, but they've always been incorporated into the garden rather than being the main focus. I left some behind at my old house (and houses before that), but have kept it pretty much under control until about 4 years ago. I started buying named varieties in the mid-80's, and had a few generic ones for several years before that.
Pagan Dance is nice Drooling Hilarious!
