Siberian Iris (Iris 'China Spring') which started blooming May 23 and "more or less" finished on June 6 has intermittently bloomed since. This photo, taken today, shows 5 new bloom stalks! Is this normal for CS?

The bent bloom was knocked down by rain and I tucked it into the clump so it would show.

I tuck, too. Hilarious!

I am curious, as well.

I don't grow China Spring, so don't know if that is normal for it or not, but it sure looks like a tall one! How tall is it?

Registered height is 40 inches Neal. That sounds about right but I'll measure it tonight. It's nice and upright where I have it.

That is a tall one! I really like the form on CS, it differs somehow from other Sibs- reminds me of butterflies.

It reminds me of one I have, except mine is taller- at least 4'. I've been unable to id this one, but its an exceptional plant.

Neal I measured CS, the tallest bloom is 48" but you can see the spent blooms are shorter. Blooming this morning.

Evan, that May photo is perfection! That combo is so gorgeous- love the tree peony and rhodie behind them!

Some Siberians are repeat bloomers (not rebloom) for another season. They send up later stalks.

Sure does look like it has produced a succession of bloom stalks. How cool to see it bloom with the peony and rhododendron, and with the lilies! The lilies look close, might happen...
