You can put an impatiens pod in your palm and feel it explode - doing it outside, where you'd like impatiens to grow is the best place for the fun.

The seedpods of both Hogwort (Croton capitatus) and Tapioca Plant (Manihot esculenta) explode after being picked. I've had pods from the latter blow up in my office and they really go flying around the room. You could get hurt!

Good warning.

I, stupidly, put several pods in a saucer in the kitchen one night, many years ago. What a mess!

Thanks for sharing Thumbs up

I have collected touch-me not seeds and there is a technique one must use not to loose the seeds.

That squirting cucumber is so cool makes me want to grow one just to experience the show.

Wow! very very cool.

There is a little weed here that I do not know the name of. But when you touch it when ripe the seeds explode every where. I get several in my eye every day this time of year. Not fun

My husband put an impatiens pod in my daughter's hand, outside, and she yelped when it exploded (just as I had done).

Nice video. Thank You! Plants are amazing. I never get tired of seeing what plants can do. Thumbs up

I have to tie small net bags over some of my euphorbias flowers to save the seeds. Same with Jatropha podagrica. Dorstenia foetida expels their seeds quite a distance. I find them growing in a lot of my pots. I call them succulent weeds. Hilarious!

Very science-fiction-y video!

Love this video and I agree with RickCorey, it's nice to have it embedded instead of having to click on a link. That cucumber with it's exploding seeds was really amazing!
