You use cages, weave them or use crop netting? I started out using cages but now I growing over 140 plants and no place to store that many cages. Last year I started weaving and had to do that about 3 times a weeks. That got old but worked out nice. Now I'm starting out with 2 rows of weave then place crop netting over them and every once in a while make sure the plants grow between the crop netting. Should be easier and still have the maters off the ground. I'll let you know how it works out. Roy

Sounds interesting
Can you pick through the netting?

Roy, that's a LOT of tomato plants!! Blinking

Do you stake them as well? (I have big wooden cages that I use for my plants, but I still put a stake in to tie the plants to, in an attempt to keep them under control as well...

Or do you prune, or ?

I'm also not sure what "crop netting" is... Confused

The crop netting is nylon netting with 6 in square holes that can be bought in various widths and lengths. My role is 5 ft by 360 ft and just cut off what you need. I'll use one T Post for every three mater plants for support. Roy

That sounds like the "trellis netting" that I use for my beans and cukes... but I had no idea it was available in such long lengths!! Blinking
