Thread OP

Hi

I'm an Australian resident and am seeking to purchase ruffle petunia seeds.

Your procedure doesn't seem to permit me to do so.

Do you serve only American customers?

Warmly

Alan Gordon

This is a Gardinging/Plant Forum not a store, it does not sell plants. Sometime individual member will sell or trade with each other. You might try posting a request for what you want in the Plant and Seed Trading Forum, but most do not trade outside of the US because of legal restrictions. We do have members from all over the world including Australia that might be able to provide you with what you are looking for, or at least point to a place where you can find it.

Welcome to All Things Plants, @alanchinchilla ! Although the site isn't in the business of selling seeds, I hope you find other things here that are of interest to you -- it's a great place to share your gardening experiences and to find information related to growing all sorts of plants. Smiling

Alan, first you need to find out if your Australian regs allow you to import seeds. Then, if you can find a retailer that will mail them to you, that's your best bet. A lot won't even export to Canada, let alone Oz because of the complications.

I did a quick check on this site where I buy most of my seed, and most of the petunias they sell are plants, already sold out for this year. http://www.burpee.com/product/... The seeds they do sell are amazingly expensive - some are $6.95 for 20 seeds. If you add that to the mailing or shipping cost, those are going to be some expensive seeds!

You'd have to e-mail the retailers directly to ask if they ship internationally. Use the "Contact Us" tab on their sites.

Australia has strict rules about what can be received in the mail; seeds are usually confiscated.
Try buying from someone who lives in Oz, here is one I found on eBay:

Welcome, Alan! I used to breed (and rescue, occasionally) chinchillas. I miss them! I assume you have at least one...do you have a picture? Smiling
