I can not remember if I posted this or not
but we have 5 wild does that we feed daily
and have fresh water for them.

they all bring
their fawns to the house area each august
and sept when they are born..

Those grow up knowing visiting us daily until either a predator
such as snake or coyote or panther or human or a car or
disease
takes their life.

I have been following this family of deer for about 12 years...
They are all descendents I think of the original mother and
baby I started photographing.

They all keep coming each day year after year
so I feel they are some of the same family of does
and bucks..

these two twin bucks just stood and looked at me photographing
them from the window...they knew where to look and knew it was
me...so I am sure they were here as fawns last summer...
and hide out in the daytime and come at dawn or night...
as bucks do..

Oh, they're adorable! I'm still feeding one doe, which just loves pieces of apple I put out. Earlier I spotted a fawn a couple of times, but that's been more than a month ago, and I haven't seen any fawns since. I don't think the fawn made it...by now, it should be coming with its mother to eat and drink at the place I call the wildlife area.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
