I do give away a lot of plants. Many times I buy some plants just to see if I can grow them without killing them. When I go to the thrift store I look for little pots that I can put little succulent cuttings in and take them to the senior home and the Senior rehabilitation center. They do not need to be watered and they do not die.
I go to the thrift store and pick up pots so they have a live plant in something that can cheer them up. The seniors love sparkly pots. I think sometime if I just brought the pot they would be thrilled.
I always look for pots that have different animals, or a familiar shape like shoes, cartoon characters, etc. Some time I glue some sparkles, or glass stones on the pot to make them sparkle. So many of them do not get visitors not even from their family. It puts a smile on their face and it make me happy to see that I cheered someone up for the day.
