Is this vine more a trailer or a climber? I've grown it several times in the past, in hanging baskets, thinking it would hang down... but it always seemed to want to climb up, instead. I have some young plants and am trying to decide how to grow them -- up a trellis, or in hanging pots. Confused

Mine were always pretty rampant climbers, that being said I bought a mixed hanging basket for my MIL last year and it looked great hanging...guess I wasn't much help huh Blinking Hilarious! Shrug!

LOL, Ronnie! Maybe I could put weights on the ends of the vines...

I agree they are rampant climbers clinging to anything they can grab onto. I had some in large pots with a tall garden obelisk in each the single plant covered the obelisk in short order. I do like them and have some that are a bright reddish orange color in the same pots this year.

Thanks, Betty -- I love the idea of growing them on an obelisk!

I have grown mine that way for years plus the obelisk looks good when the plants are working on their growth.
