I didn't want to propose changes so I thought I'd post this here for one of the database administrators help. I'm not certain but unless this is a General entry for Oyster Plant (Tradescantia spathacea) many of the photos should be moved to this entry for Variegated Oyster Plant (Tradescantia spathacea 'Sitara')

I've always known T. spathacea to have green upper leaves with a maroon/purple reverse and the one with the variegated leaf form to be cultivars.

Photos/Information for T. spathacea:

Here's the issue, there is more than one cultivar of Tradescantia spathacea with variegated leaves. Which means, unless the owners of the pictures in question know exactly which cultivar they have, it's probably most appropriate for the pictures to stay in the species entry.

No problem at all Lin. It has come up before (with this and a few other plants), but I can't remember who brought it up. Probably several people to be honest.

It's one of those weird situations. The pictures don't quite belong where they are, but there isn't a better place to put them. Shrug!

Yeah, since they are indeed T. spathacea that seems to be the obvious place, otherwise they'd have to be at the parent plant Tradescantias (Tradescantia) entry which would probably cause more confusion. Smiling
