Welcome! missv
It should do great where you are at!
In fact, all daylilies will do great almost anywhere.

Such eye candy. I looked and it's a Munson, of course. His were always my favorites.

Great photo!

Very pretty! I have shied away from evergreen types living in WI, though I see you only live about 30 min from me. Where did you get it? Might need to find one! Smiling

That is a very striking color which I have none of. It would look great with so many colors.

I find that evergreens go dormant here, and many do just fine. A few have been troublesome though. This one has been slow to increase. I've had it about 5 years now, and it's finally decided to make a decent clump. Some years it's more mauve in color, and this year it's more violet. Many of my DL's have had more intense color this year for some reason. Maybe it's all the rain we've had this year. Shrug!
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

Tom, I so agree on the color of the daylilies this year. I just cannot believe what I am seeing. I did start the alfalfa pellets last fall so I have to factor that in with the rain, but it is just a joy to go out and look at the garden every morning. This is the best year I have had for flowers in all my years of gardening. I have plants that struggled with one scape for years, and now they have ten. I have lilies coming up that disappeared years ago, and the size of the flowers is just amazing. I have not had to water one time this year which is unbelievable for this area. It will be raining again later this week, so no dragging hoses around.

A friend who is a terrific photographer came out yesterday and took a ton of pictures. He is going to make me a disc so I have a keepsake of the gardens if we move. It sounds really corny, but the beauty this year brings tears to my eyes when I stand out there.
