How exactly is the "Rust Resistance"rating: "Shows Resistance" and "Shows Susceptibility" linked to the "Rust Decimal Score"?
When the figures were first entered for the "Rust Decimal Score" were all the plants with a rating of 2.4 or less entered as "Shows Resistance" and all the plants that received a rating of 2.5 or above given a "Rust Resistance" rating of "Shows Susceptibility"?
If I understand correctly: Char said:
"Anyone can change the rust rating of a plant in the ATP database by using the pull down box when editing data. How accurate this makes any of the rust ratings in the database is debatable."
That indicates that I could: just based on what I see in my own garden change a rating from "Rust Resistant" to "Rust Susceptible".
Many of the plants I pull up when I do a search based strictly on the "Shows Resistance" choice will actually show decimal scores. So if I should enter a change for a plant with a decimal score already entered would the score remain the same? Thus showing a "Rust Susceptible" ranked plant with a possible 1.0 decimal ranking?
I wanted to search for a range of decimal scores: example 1.0-1.5, but that does not work. But if the scores for all the 2.4 ratings were entered as "Shows Resistance" and all the scores for 2.5 and higher were rated for "Shows Susceptibility" then that would be close enough. However, if anyone can change the ratings and that rating then just reflects the rating of that one person's garden, it would be useless to me.
Sorry for being so wordy, I am really struggling with this.
