These pictures are from two years ago, but I had never learned what variety this was. The photos are of the same plant. Either it's the lighting, or they are in different stages of fading.




If the flowers are not IDable, that's ok. I no longer have the plant, but just curious what it was.

I don't know. The closest I can come is Multi-Blue but yours is/was far more beautiful.

My first guess would be Clematis Crystal Fountain™

Now I'm officially jealous, Sue! My two Crystal Fountains are always a nice light blue/lavender while yours is so deeply colored.

That's not my image though, it's mattsmom's. Hers could be a weather related producing the deeper coloring.

Thank you so much for your replies. I did not purposely get rid of this one, but I think letting some shrubs grow out snuffed it. Even though I appreciate natives, I did like the flower of this one and am glad I have a few photos.

If you have any idea where it was, you can lift up the shrub branches and try to locate it, dig it up and replant it someplace safe from being invaded by any shrub or perennial. Do it in the cool of the day so the heat won't find you giving up on the search. I've had some return after being dormant so long I was 100% sure they must be dead.
