Hi,

I had such great success with this unknown lettuce I was hoping to figure out what it is. I am letting it bolt to get seeds but any input welcome.

My guess would be a Bib lettuce, but I'm not an expert on lettuce.

If you have photos of it before it bolted we might be able to identify type.

I agree You are just showing the "flower" stalk.

No, the small leaves on it won't be of much help since the lettuce has bolted. Do you happen to have any pictures of it when it was at its "prime", before bolting?

The leaves will change not only in shape but also in taste when the plant bolts (often gets quite bitter). I assume that this is one of the green leaf lettuces.

I'm thinking probably a Romaine type?

If you save seed from it and grow it out again, post a photo of the younger plants and maybe someone will be able to make a better guess Smiling
